MedicareAustralia’s move to web services
Digital health and aged care channels currently use adaptor technology. Updating to web services provides digital claiming and data channels that:
- are secure and stable, now and into the future
- meet current technology standards
- are easier to update and improve
- provides a higher level of security than current PKI technology
- No need for additional hardware or software
Benefits of moving to web services
- Flexibility and easier to update and maintain compared to current adaptor technology. Easier to use across multiple operating systems, such as Windows and Mac OS.
- Easier for future enhancements to be made when improving functionality.
- Individual PRODA account doesn’t expire so if you change employer your account won’t expire because it belongs to you as an individual
